1. Las Vegas Strip
This 4.2 mile long strip refers to the stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard, and is home to millions of tourists each year. Along the strip, there are countless resort hotels and casinos side by side and many of the largest hotels and casinos are located here. The Strip is also famous for its dramatic cityscape at night, as well as its energy that exudes from all the clubs, restaurants, and especially its people.
The Strip is a great place to travel to with both family and friends because of its tourist attractions such as the unique hotels and casinos. Most casinos have shopping areas, some have carnival rides and all have restaurants, which makes it exciting to explore and try all the things they offer.
2. Yellowstone National Park
Yellowstone National Park, located mostly in the state of Wyoming, was one of the first national parks in the entire world. Yellowstone National Park is known for its vast amount of geysers and hot springs. On top of this, there is a large diversity of wildlife in this area including grizzly bears, black bears, bison, otters, and wolves. Much of Yellowstone National Park lies on the largest volcanic system in North America which has been the reason for many exotic rock formations in the park.
This famous New York City borough is one of the most visited parts of the United States, as well as one of the most filmed locations in the world. Millions of people visit every year because it is a great place to hang out, watch broadway shows, shop, and indulge in its diverse food options. The hustle and bustle of the city where you can walk the shadows of skyscrapers or relax and have a picnic in Central Park.
4. Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is the United States’ 15th oldest national park and is located in northwestern Arizona. There are about 5 million people that visit the canyon each year. The “South Rim” is the side that is most visited by tourists because it is accessible by the free park shuttle buses and personal vehicles.
There are more things to do in the Canyon than just look at it and take pictures. You can hike, do rafting, bike around, do, ride mules, watch sunrise and/or sunset, and you can just check out the many tours they have for you!
5. Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World, Disney’s largest amusement park complex in the world, is located in Orlando, Florida. Walt Disney World is made up of 7 different theme parks which include the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Blizzard Beach, and Typhoon Lagoon. Park attractions include thrill rides, Disney themed shows, exotic cuisines, and several other unique experiences that are only seen at Walt Disney World. In addition, there is a whole nightlife and shopping complex called Disney Springs.
Walt Disney World also has many on-site resorts that include transportation to all of its theme parks. The overall Walt Disney World complex has perfected the art of creating a unique experience that can only happen at Walt Disney World. This explains why Walt Disney World attendance has usually seen a rise in attendance.
6. Mount Rushmore
As the state of South Dakota’s top tourist attraction, giant head sculptures are a must-see when in Black Hills, Keystone. These are the heads of four presidents of the United States: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln. This sculpture that attracts about two million people a year has become an iconic symbol of the United States and is very familiar to many because of its exposure in various films and popular works.
Miami is a large port city located in the southern part of the state of Florida. Miami is known for its beaches and metropolitan area. One of Miami’s most regarded features is its climate. For much of the year, Miami is warm enough to enjoy the beaches. Another well known attraction in Miami is the Wynwood Walls. The Wynwood Walls is in the Wynwood neighborhood in Miami where many walls are covered with beautiful murals made with graffiti. It is easily one of the best spots in Miami for an Instagram post.
8. Washington, DC
Washington, DC, the capital of the United States, is a city where government and urbanization collide. With landmarks such as the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and a number of national museums, no one will ever be bored in this city. Washington, DC is also home to a number of professional sport teams that include baseball, football, ice hockey, and basketball.
Washington, DC is also known for its annual Cherry Blossom Festival, which occurs in March and April, in where all the cherry blossom trees bloom around the national monuments. Many tourists from all around the world visit Washington, DC around this time to see the cherry blossoms and the national monuments.
9. Hershey Park
This fun family theme park located in Hershey, Pennsylvania was made as leisure park for the employees of the Hershey Chocolate Company and is privately owned by the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company.
The park covers 110 acres with 70 different thrilling rides and attractions, as well as a Zoo called “ZOOAMERICA” which is a North American Wildlife Park. And adjacent to the park is Hershey’s Chocolate World, which is open to visitors and contains shops, restaurants and a chocolate factor-themed ride. It is definitely a must-see destination for families and friends!
10. Jersey Shore
On the coastal region of the state of New Jersey is The Jersey Shore or as locals like to call it “The Shore.” It is famous for its boardwalks that are filled with arcades, waterparks, and amusement parks and is visited by many people going on vacation and is a popular summer destination for visitors from the Northeastern part of the United States.
